Business for preterm infants convinces the jury
For the third time the French-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFU) awarded outstanding women for their business concepts. This year, out of 100 candidates, the board selected Oleksandra Balyasna, the founder of Раненько (Ranenko), a company helping preterm babies with appropriate products, meeting their needs, has won the race and became businesswoman of 2021! Oleksandra is also the founder of the Ukrainian parent organisation “Ranni ptashki” (Early birds). She is an EFCNI award winner and has been a committed member of the EFCNI Parent Advisory Board since 2019.
“By winning this prize, I want to educate about the topic of preterm birth and attract the attention of a large audience. I simply want to raise awareness of the needs of preterm babies.”, explains Oleksandra.
A business to meet the needs of the smallest
Ranenko creates, elaborates and sells products to offer preterm babies intrauterine-like conditions, as realistic as possible. Since 2013, Ranenko has already supported more than 30.000 children and established cooperation with all perinatal centres of Ukraine, children’s hospitals and international partners in Lithuania, Kazakhstan and Finland.
Oleksandra has received the main prize of the competition of 100.000 UAH( 3125,00€) for business development, as well as annual support by the French-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFU) and a business trip to Paris. With this opportunity, she plans to increase her company’s turnover, expand Ranenko’s product line and reach out to new markets.
The Business Woman Award is part of a programme to implement an active policy of supporting female leadership. The “Створено жінками” (“Created by women”) competition aims to reward a Ukrainian female entrepreneur who has recently founded her business. The competition was created on the initiative of the CCIFU Businesswomen’s Committee, which brings together women founders, directors or members of the management committee of French companies established in Ukraine. The mission of the initiative is to motivate the already successful Ukrainian entrepreneurs and those who still dream of taking their first steps in business.
We congratulate Oleksandra, who has more than once shown that she’s never afraid to dream and take a chance!
