WHO will publish two important new policy and programmatic resources on Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC): A Global Position paper and Implementation Strategy. The new guidelines for the care of preterm or low birthweight infants, published in 2022, recommend KMC as the essential standard of care for all preterm or low birthweight babies.
